Srinagar  14 August 2018 (KNO) Freedom struggle is our passion and love. We are always ready for any public accountability and scrutiny. Heirs of Shaheed Maqbool Butt cherish incarcerations and gallows and intimidating them by so-called notices and threats can only be termed as naiveté.

This was stated by the chairman of JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik while reacting to recent notice from enforcement department. It is pertinent to mention that enforcement directorate has issued a fresh notice to JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar and his wife and asked them to present themselves before ED on 5th or 6th of September 2018.

Terming this notice of ED as part of Indian ploy to intimidate resistance camp in Jammu Kashmir, JKLF chairman said that these farce cases are framed and run to settle political vendetta, threaten political resistance and force people to submission on gun point. He said that the case that has been referred to in ED notice is of March 2002 when a drama was played to arrest him as Indian state was too annoyed on the formation of a parallel Independent Election Commission by United Hurriyat Conference. Indian rulers were annoyed because the said election commission was formed at my proposal and its purpose was to settle down the issue of representative character for once and all. He said that a theater was orchestrated and he was arrested from Srinagar and immediately shifted to Jammu. He said that he was tortured and put behind the bars under black law POTA.

After some months he was presented before POTA court in Jammu where he told the honorable judge that authorities in Delhi are claiming that Dollars were handed over by one Altaf Qadri to Mushtaq Ahmad Dar in Nepal and if Delhi proved Altaf Qadri’s presence in Nepal, he will have no objection in accepting all the charges.

Yasin Malik said that he told POTA court that Delhi can say that Altaf Qadri was traveling on fake passport but in case also the passport he carried and his visa form should have his photograph which can be easily obtained from Nepal. JKLF chairman said that on this declaration of mine, POTA court granted me bail and the case is pending before the said POTA court from last 16 years and regular hearings are being held on monthly basis.

It is worth to mention that soon after the start of trial in POTA court, Government of Jammu Kashmir went to High Court Jammu asking it to reject the statement of co-accused in the case who had told the POTA court that they were subjected to a third degree torture in custody and forced to record a confessional statement and accept all concocted charges but High court rejected the plea of Jammu Kashmir government. JKLF chairman said that a case is being heard in a court of law from 17 years where it is yet to be concluded but a parallel trial is being initiated from ED in the same case which is in itself a mockery of justice and legal system.

JKLF chairman said that actually ED notice and attitude is a sample of how Indian agencies, forces and legal system is run and used by Indian rulers according to their whims and wishes against peaceful resistances in Kashmir; this is the reality of NIA led campaign too which has abducted many Kashmiris including women and lodged them at Tihar Jail. JKLF chairman said that Indian rulers have been from long trying to portray the sacred struggle of Kashmiris as a means to accumulate money, make fortunes and as being a sponsored struggle. We want to tell them that Freedom struggle of Kashmiris that is cultivated by the sacred blood of martyrs is our passion and romanticism and we are ready to sacrifice our lives for this cause.

Indian rulers want to put us in submission by adopting a Hitler’s approach but fail to understand the psyche of those who are ready to sacrifice everything for their passion and love. These fascist rulers cannot understand the psyche of freedom lovers as they even during freedom struggle of India chose to side with British Occupation not with the people fighting for freedom. How they can understand the romanticism of freedom fighters. They only know the language of suppressing the genuine voice by means of military might. He said that freedom struggle is our passion and love and we are always ready for any public accountability and scrutiny.

If anyone proves any property in my name other than that I inherited from my parents, I will publicly apologies and take retirement from politics, asserted JKLF chairman. He said that heirs of Shaheed Maqbool Butt cherish incarcerations and gallows and intimidating them by so-called notices can only be termed as naiveté. He said that we the heirs of martyrs want to tell Delhi that do what you can and wish, open the doors of jails and put us on gallows as we value these hardships high but remember you can never finish our resistance against your illegal military occupation, said Yasin Malik.
